The Department of Student Support Services and Parent Relations, District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC), extends heartfelt thanks to all parents, guardians, and caretakers who participated in the March yoga session. Held at the East Orange Board of Education, this special event was designed to promote self-care, mindfulness, and social-emotional wellness within our community.
Attendees took part in a revitalizing yoga practice that encouraged both mental clarity and physical well-being. The energy in the room reflected a shared commitment to health and balance, a powerful reminder of the strength that comes from prioritizing self-care.
“It was truly inspiring to witness such enthusiastic participation,” said Demetrisha Barnes, Educational Support Services & Parent Relations Specialist. “Seeing so many members of our community embrace wellness and mindfulness reinforces our belief that a strong, thriving community begins with the well-being of its individuals.”
The DPAC is proud to continue hosting events that uplift and support families across East Orange. The success of this yoga session marks another meaningful step in cultivating a culture of connection, resilience, and wellness.
